According to the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council (which is a totally real thing) folks eat almost 600% more blueberries today than they did 20 years ago.
And, after tasting today’s Curse Breaker Blueberry Sour Ale, I think the meteoric rise of the bluest berry is about to accelerate.
This thick-bodied, puckering Sour Ale from Seattle’s Urban Family positively drips with nectarous, berry goodness. It’s like a dollop of tart preserves with a 6.5% ABV, and it’s so jammy you might want to actually spoon it into your mouth.
You can even say “here comes the berry-plane!” and make engine noises as you suck down spoonfuls.
Of course, after that first drop hits your tongue, you’ll probably want to switch to gulping, because this stuff is delicious! Early tasters rate it a sky-high 4.12 on Untappd, saying things like, “tart yet easy drinking,” and, “loving the thick texture!”
But, if you want to sample this limited-release creation from one of Thrillist’s Best Breweries in Seattle, you gotta act fast!
